Chief Perry Bellegarde is the Chief of the Federation
of Saskatchewan Indian Nation (FSIN). With this role he is in charge of all
Indian affairs that happen in Saskatchewan. He was also Chief of Little Black
Bear Reservation for three years.
Chief Bellegarde came in second in the election for National Chief
of Canada.
When I interviewed Chief Bellegarde out at the Treaty
4 gathering I learned a lot about what he does and what the gathering means to
him. He was quite interesting to interview and it actually turned out better
than we expected it would.
