Mmmm, Pow Wow Food by Keelin
The food at Treaty 4
is great! All you can smell is the grease coming from the food shacks. If you
ever ask me what place is the best, I would defiantly send you to Minnie’s food
shack.
I interviewed Marlene
from Minnie’s food shack! She’s a great cook and great lady. She is very easy
to talk to and get along with. We learnt that even though it’s not my culture
that it’s good to learn about it.
"She works very hard, and she's very dedicated, "says Ms. Paul, Bert Fox Community High School's Commercial Cooking teacher, who also knows Marlene from years ago. "She's one of the first one's open for breakfast and the last to close."
Treaty 4 means to me
to remember the signing of the treaties and to learn more about the fist
nations culture. I don’t usually go to Treaty 4 and it was only my second time
but from my experience it was very enjoyable and a great learning experience.
This year they had many more events than the other year that I was there.
Stay tuned for my article on Minnie's early next week.
